The Short Version

We built Clarity to help retailers stop returns fraud. We're not in the business of collecting your personal data. Our site is primarily informational—you can browse, use our calculator, and learn about what we do without giving us anything beyond basic web traffic data.

When you reach out via email or schedule a demo through Calendly, that's when we start a conversation. But we only use that information to talk with you about Clarity.

What We Collect (and Don't)

Automatically collected

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically logs:

• IP addresses
• Browser type and version
• Pages you visit and when
• Referring websites

This is standard web server stuff. We use it to understand traffic patterns and keep the site running smoothly.

What we don't collect

• Calculator data: Everything you enter in our fraud loss calculator stays on your device. We never see it.
• Form submissions: We don't have any forms that send us data. No email captures, no lead magnets, no hidden tracking.
• Cookies: We don't use tracking cookies or third-party analytics (beyond what Netlify provides for basic hosting).

What you choose to share

If you email us or schedule a demo through Calendly, you're choosing to share:

• Your name
• Email address
• Company information
• Whatever else you include in your message or calendar booking

Calendly's privacy: When you book through our Calendly link, you're also subject to Calendly's privacy policy. They handle that booking data, not us.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you voluntarily provide to:

• Respond to your inquiries
• Schedule and conduct product demos
• Discuss how Clarity might work for your business
• Send follow-up information you've requested

That's it. We're not building profiles, running ad campaigns, or selling data to anyone.

Who We Share Data With

We don't sell, rent, or trade your information. Period.

We only share data when:

• You ask us to: If you request we loop in a colleague or partner
• Service providers: Calendly handles our scheduling, and we use standard email services for communication
• Legal requirements: If compelled by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights

Data Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect information you share with us:

• Email communications use standard encryption (TLS)
• Our site is served over HTTPS
• Access to any stored information is limited to team members who need it

That said, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We do our best, but we can't guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Ask what information we have about you
• Request we delete your information
• Opt out of future communications
• Update or correct your information

U.S. State Privacy Rights (California and Other States)

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights under U.S. state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect and how we use it
• Request access to or deletion of your personal information
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal data)
• Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

Children's Privacy

Our site isn't directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy as our business evolves. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top and post the new version here.

For major changes that affect how we handle your data, we'll notify anyone we've been in contact with via email.
